ACES

ACES (A Challenge for Exceptional Students) is a hands on, project-based class with a goal of challenging the brightest students at Pikeville. ACES is involved in several different state and national competitions throughout the year such as Future City, Communty Problem Solving (CmPS), National Energy Education Development (NEED), Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP), etc. The class is taught by PHS Gifted Education teacher, Mrs. Traci Tackett. Tackett was recently named Conservation Teacher of the Year for her efforts in providing fresh fruits and vegtables in the school cafeteria and involving students in the growing process. Members of our class have advanced to the National Future City Competition twice, the Internation CmPS Competition, and the National NEED Energy Conference.
